Confindustria is the major organization overseeing the manufacturing and services companies in Italy. It was established in 1910 and represents 135,320 companies of all sizes and more than 4,954,000 workers. Its main value is to ensure the development and progress of the Italian companies in the free market. Confindustria has in its statute the will to contribute, together with political institutions as well as trade, social and cultural organizations, be it national or international, to the economic development and social progress of the country. Confindustria represents the needs and proposals of the Italian private trade sector and coordinates with the political and administrative institutions, including the Parliament, the Government, unions and other social forces.

I.C.E., the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, is a government trade promotion agency commissioned by the Italian Ministry of International Trade to foster trade and investment opportunities abroad for Italian industry. Founded in 1926, I.C.E. operates through more than 85 field offices located in major world centers and through its offices in Italy. Its primary task is to assist Italian entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs, by providing a comprehensive range of services including information, assistance and promotion of Italian image abroad through a wide range of activities.

The Italian Banking Association (ABI) is a non-profit organisation that promotes values of entrepreneurship, free market and competition. It represents, protects and promotes the interests of ABI Associates. Apart from promoting initiatives for a good, stable and efficent growth of the Banking and Financial System, inside the national and European legal framework, it also organizes studies and debates on the economic and social matters, solicits the innovation of the national and european laws, defines ideas on working relationship and occupation policy. ABI also represents the Italian credit and financial system in all the international centers, for instance the European Banking Federation and European Mortgage Federation.
